Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - NDSU head coach Chris Klieman wants to give quarterback Carson Wentz all the tools to succeed in his first season as a starter. And his latest decision backs that up.

Klieman told our Dom Izzo that true freshman wide receiver R.J. Urzendowski is good to go now and will not red-shirt this season.

Urzendowski made 70 catches for 1,100 yards and 8 touchdowns a year ago at Creighton Prep, while hauling in passes from fellow NDSU freshman Easton Stick.

He's listed at 5-11 and 181 pounds. Once he takes his first snap, Urzendowski will be the first true freshman wide receiver to play for NDSU since former walk-on Nate Moody did it in 2011.
