Results of Andrew Sadek's Autopsy Released
Wahpeton, ND (WDAY TV) - The cause of death for the once missing North Dakota State College of Science student has been released -- however many questions still remain.
Autopsy results show Andrew Sadek died due to a gunshot wound to the head.
Those results came in today. The report says a small caliber deformed lead bullet was recovered.
The circumstances of Sadek's death haven't been determined and a toxicology drug screen on Sadek's body was negative.
Sadek was last seen on the NDSCS campus May 1st, his body was found June 27th. NDSCS was not able to comment on why the autopsy took nearly two months to receive.
Barbara Spaeth-Baum/NDSCS Public Information Officer: “An ongoing search for the weapon continues. However, we do not want the public or campus community to worry unnecessarily. We cannot prove or disprove that there would be any concern for anyone in this case.”
The investigation is ongoing. NDSCS contacted Sadek's parents today and says they are devastated by the loss of their son and the autopsy results.
