RedHawks lose fourth straight dropping to Gary Southshore 9-5 Tuesday night
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - We've reached the midway point of the season in the American Association and after losing 10 of their last 12, the RedHawks have dipped down to a .500 record.
They were hoping to get the 2nd half started right against Gary Southshore, the Hawks made a roster shuffle before the game, releasing Tim Alberts and adding 1st baseman Erik Castro.
But pitching was the problem again, wearing camo jerseys for military appreciation, Drew Bowlin's fastball was not camouflaged. The RailCats jump on him early and often, for 7 runs in 3 innings.
So the RedHawks have to rally again, down 6 in the 5th, Sawyer Carroll goes big fly, solo shot to right. His 4th of the season.
In the 6th, down 9-2 now. Petey Paramore does the same with a home run just clearing the wall in right, on this towering shot but the problem with those is no one is on base.
The Hawks lose a 4th straight, 9-5 the final.
