Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It's zoology week for the Fargo Libraries Fizz Boom Read Program, and today, the kids got some insight into the lives of four exotic animals.

Children and parents alike packed the Library downtown to get a glimpse of the Red river zoo's rabbit, python, cockatoo, and new baby porcupine.

While there, Zoo staff answered questions the kids had about the animals like what they eat and where they live.

This program counted towards the children's summer reading challenge where they get a sticker for each program they attend.

Cindy Liudahl/ Fargo Library Children’s Program Associate: “Well we're just hoping that they learn to use the library and that they learn a little bit about each animal that they brought and learn that we have a great zoo in town and a great library.>

Next in line for the Fizz Boom Read program, the children will be looking to the stars for astrology week.
