Law enforcement are outside the home with weapons shouldered. It is unclear if the suspect is armed.

Early reports indicated that there may be a woman and other people in the house with the suspect, and that threats were made.

The police department is using a loud speaker to communicate with the suspect. About every 15 minutes, they are repeating the phrase, “This is the Fergus Falls Police Department. You are under arrest. Put down your weapon, and come out of the house with your hands up and you will not be harmed.”

Streets around the standoff are blocked in every direction.
