Pharmacy Measure on North Dakota Ballot
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Petitioners have successfully pushed North Dakota's pharmacy ownership law onto the November ballot.
The state received nearly 23,000 signatures, well over the roughly 13,000 required.
The proposed measure would change the state's requirement that majority ownership in pharmacies just be held by a registered pharmacist.
This could allow big-box retailers, like Wal-Mart, to open pharmacies.
