NDSU at Iowa State: No surprises

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The preparations are nearly complete for NDSU for its matchup for Iowa

State as an entire senior class will look to go perfect against FBS schools. The Cyclones know full well about the Bison, and the FCS.

That's because Northern Iowa went into Ames last year and torched the Cyclones defense and for that reason alone, there's no under the radar treatment from the ISU players.

“Last  year's opener- that's done and in the past, obviously you use it as motivational speech to hit the ground running but right now, we're focused on doing the little things right. That's what's going to beat NDSU. They're not going to give you chances for big plays. They don't make mistakes- they execute perfectly.”

“We don't see them as an FCS school at all. They're used to winning. They know how to win games, they're not down, jump on them fast. It's obvious we're going to have to play a great game to compete with them.”

Kickoff is at 11 a.m. Saturday. We'll get you ready for the new season Thursday night on WDAY'Z Xtra with a full half-hour preview, starts at 6:30 on the 2014 NDSU season.
