MSUM Football team kicks off 2014 season
Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - The wait is over at MSU Moorhead as the Dragons hit the field this morning for their first practice of the fall.
Steve Laqua begins his fourth year at the helm coming off the school's best season in six years, winning four games and believes his team can win more this fall.
Steve Laqua/Fourth Year MSUM Head Coach: “We've had the best first day we've had around here, which was encouraging sign of a mature team the older guys helping the younger guys out to make practice be a good practice all the way through.”
Cory Ambrose/56 Receptions, 916 Yards, 6 TDs in 2013: “The big thing that hurt us last year is we're still kind of young, didn't know how to stop momentum, find some leaders and keep up the momentum.”
