Moorhead County Club continuing renovations of course
Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - The summer's biggest holiday weekend opens Friday, and with the extra day off, it's no secret that many will be searching for tee times.
Moorhead Country Club was a busy place Thursday afternoon, with their men's league in full swing.
Everyone is taking advantage of the newly renovated back nine, that opened about a year ago.
One of the favorites has been the island green on hole 16. But, the project isn't quite over, hole 10 should be ready in about two weeks and head professional Larry Murphy says it will definitely present some challenges.
Larry Murphy/Moorhead Country Club: “It's going to turn into a 380 yard par 4 dog leg left. It was a dog log left before but we opened the dog leg up a little bit so it's not as sharp of a dogleg left. We like that a little better, it's a little bit longer than the hole before. Everything is growing in perfectly. Hole number ten is going to be a very challenging hole with a great degree of difficulty. Should be real interesting to see how we like this hole.”
