Alexandria, MN (WDAY TV) - A real shootout for area high school students who are part of a growing sport and official school activity.

67 teams involving 900 students from across Minnesota are in Alexandria this weekend for the state high school league trap shooting championship.

4,000 will compete, making this the largest youth trapshooting tournament in the world.

15,000 people will come to watch the shooting.

Detroit Lakes, Battle Lake, Frazee, Fergus Falls, Perham and Norman County were just some of the area high schools sending trapshooting teams.
