Miller family attends All-Star Game

2 / 2

Jeff Miller/Former Moorhead Blues Head Coach: “I was telling my son when we were on the way down that I tried to get tickets to the 1985 game, but I was a broke college senior and I couldn't get them and so this is extra special. Especially coming down here with him and enjoying the day.”

What do you think you're going to take the most out of the next few days?

Jeff: “Just taking in the atmosphere. It's true baseball people here. Coaching legion baseball for over 20 years, this is what it's all about. Seeing the pros play and especially the all-stars. It's very special.”

Brooks Miller/Former Spud Baseball Player (Jeff’s Son): “He called me at college. He told me he had tickets for every event that we had. I just couldn't believe it. I didn't expect in my life to go to an all-star team. Let alone to be in our home state, it's just unbelievable.”

What do you think you're going to take the most memory out of the next couple of days?

Brooks: “Just being here with my dad. This is probably the only time we'll ever do something like this. It's the best experience of my life right now. It's unbelievable.”

You've been around baseball all your life. Where is this going to rank for you in terms of great things that you've been at?

Jeff: “It has to be in the top five. Coaching definitely takes one, two, and three. But, this is definitely in the top five.”
