Middle Schoolers raising money for cancer
Fargo ND 301 8th St. S. 58103

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A group of Fargo 11-year-olds is crafting for a cause.

The Sullivan Middle Schoolers are selling handmade bracelets to raise money for cancer.

The group calls themselves the Color Girlz.

Today, they crafted the rubber bracelets on demand for one dollar a piece.

The event's proceeds benefit the Livestrong program at the Schlossman YMCA.

The program helps cancer survivors rebuild physical strength after treatments.

The Color Girlz say want to create a positive change in the lives of cancer patients.

Greta McArthur/ Color Girlz: "We've heard of people that have cancer and that have suffered with cancer and we want to help them with our creativity and to help cancer."

The Color Girlz made more than $100 Friday. Next, they hope to bring their bracelets to children suffering with cancer.
