Man who led police on chase on I-94 pleads guilty to one count as part of plea agreement
Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - The man who led a Clay County deputy on a chase in Moorhead pled guilty to one count today, part of a plea agreement.
21-year-old Ransi Thomas led police on a short chase the wrong way on I-94 after getting pulled over for a routine traffic stop.
An officer ran Thomas's name, went back to the car to arrest him for outstanding warrants, and that's when the chase began.
Thomas ended up going into a ditch and crashing into a fence near Rasmussen College.
Thomas pled guilty to the first of two counts fleeing a peace officer. The second count for having a weapon will be dismissed at sentencing in October.
Thomas will serve 150 days in jail and face a $1,000 fine.
