Kindred vs Cavalier

A new season of high school football began tonight in North Dakota as nine-man schools all over the state got a head start on their 11-man counterparts. All except for one: The Kindred Vikings, with new head coach Matt Crane had a tall task, traveling north to face 9-man school... The Cavalier Tornadoes off a dominant 2013 season that saw them crowned as state champs.

Tornadoes led by NDSU recruit Brock Robbins....

6-all game in the 3rd quarter...

This is Robbins' eighth carry of the drive, and he plunges in from five yards out. Tornadoes go up 12-6.

Then after a Robbins' interception, Ethan Lingen of Kindred almost picks off Trent Carl's pass, but Keaton Smith snatches it away and takes it in for the score. Cavalier up 20-6 after the two-point conversion.

Tornadoes defense shows up... Jeff Stith applies the pressure on Kindred quarterback Fletcher Andel, and the pass is picked off by Ryley Clem who takes it all the way back.
