Kids dissect animals for Grossology course
Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - This next story may not be for the squimish, but that's no problem for the students in MSUM's College for Kids Grossology course.
The course gives kids ages 10 through 14 a hands-on feel for the grosser side of science.
Wednesday, the budding scientists explored and dissected the anatomy of frogs, fetal pigs, and even a shark.
For many of the kids, it's their first time learning about biology.
Kai Pierce- 5th Grader: “It's my first time dissecting something. It's really interesting to find out what's inside and stuff.”
Fifth Grader Kai says he wants to be a doctor.
And College for Kids staff say the course is a good introduction to any scientific career.
