Kevin Love traded to Cleveland Cavaliers
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Kevin Love saga that has lasted all summer long, has finally come to an end.
Today the Minnesota Timberwolves announced that they have traded the three time all-star to Cleveland, as part of a three team trade Minnesota in exchange got a lot younger.
Acquiring this year’s number one overall pick, Andrew Wiggins, 2013's number one overall pick Anthony Bennett, and Thaddeus Young from the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Wolves send Love to the Cavaliers, Philadelphia gets Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and Alexey Shved, along the first round pick from the Cav's.
Timberwolves Head Coach Flip Saunders said the trade was all about getting equal value.
Flip Saunders/Timberwolves Head Coach: “Kevin is a unique player and we felt we needed to get a unique player back in return or players, and usually in this situation a lot of times in the history of it people have gotten good players back but maybe not a guy that has the opportunity to be a super star type player and you are talking about Wiggins a player since he was in high school people thought he was the best player to come out of high school since LeBron James so he has been compared to those and he has phenomenal ability and he's got a lot of work to do but I know he is a willing learner.”
