Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It was quite the scene near the Dike West skate park in Fargo Wednesday night.

A large crowd watched as Fargo firefighters pulled a girl from the Red River.

MATBUS driver Stephen Scheel took this video as it happened, about 7, next to Prairie St. John's Hospital.

Authorities say the girl is a Prairie patient, who jumped the fence and went swimming.

The Fargo Fire Department says the juvenile refused to come to shore and was even doing the backstroke.

Two firefighters were sent in by boat and pulled her out of the water as she fought against them.

Police say, at this point, no charges will be filed.
