The Feed from 970 WDAY: The CGP Podcast - Commentary on changing the narrative and finding the positive

Email News Alerts

In April of this year, MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell was in a serious car accident on the island of Tortola. When he finally came through surgery and rehab for his injuries two months later, he returned to his show and explained in a remarkable 16-minute monologue that his life-changing event turned around how he viewed... life. It got me to thinking that we, as a society, spend far too much time allowing what divides us, define us. We have gotten expert at shouting down the views of others when they disagree with us, especially politically. Negativity and nastiness are very much in style. Wouldn't it be refreshing if we sought out ways to embrace what ties us together? Perhaps look for more positivity? My commentary on how we can have differences yet still retain our sense of self and purpose.
