Day 3 of Pine to Palm Golf Tournament

Lake View, MN (WDAY TV) - Its 82 years old, but it's still one of the best tournaments around. The Pine to Palm field got whittled down from 16 to the final 4 this afternoon; it was a muggy day out in Lakes country. And the quarterfinal matches were tight all afternoon long.

Mike Kosiak with a birdie putt on the short par four 6th. He gets it to fall to move one up over Tom Strandemo.

Strandemo draws even on the par three 8th. His tee shot finds the green and backs up nicely towards the pin, Strandemo wins the whole and he goes on to win the match three and two.

Staying on the 8th Gopher golfer Matt Rachee has the birdie opportunity from the fringe. Watch the ball on this one; it does a complete 180 before dropping into the cup, Rachee advances winning 4 and three over Jake Montplaiser.

Coy Papacheck trying to gain ground on Ben Welle. The putt comes up short but Papacheck wins the hole.

Welle misses a putt of his own but still wins the hole, he wins the match one up.

Strandemo will face Rachee while Welle goes up against Mark Robinson in the morning session with the championship match tomorrow afternoon.
