Langdon, ND (WDAY TV) - To the class B in Langdon, Carrington in the driver’s seat, needing just one win over Thompson for the title.

Plenty of offense in this one, Carrington scores 4 in the 1st, Marcus Hewitt with a base hit to score Brady Smith.

Thompson fights back though; Calen Schwabe drives a double to right center that plates Hunter Ness and Malek Larimer. Thompson scores 6 in the 2nd to take a 6-4 lead.

But Carrington continues to hit, Patrick Freeman the Tournament MVP doubles to deep left, Smith scores to make it 11-5.

Carrington rolls to a 18-6 win behind Freeman's 4 hits.

Patrick Freeman/Carrington-Tournament MVP: “We had one guy get hits and after that we just kind of kept building off that and they had their ace, he wasn't healthy so they had to pitch some different kids and we were ready and everybody hit good today, that's what it came down too.”

With the new three class system, Carrington will play at Wahpeton on Tuesday night. The winner will represent North Dakota in the Division 2 Central Plains Regional starting Thursday in South Dakota.
