BLOCH Project Moves On

Fargo, N.D. (WDAY TV) -- The BLOCH project is moving on after three days of artists adding their work at the Street Fair.

BLOCH is an interactive global art project making a multi-continent tour, and North Dakota is the spot for the North American leg.

Saturday, Bud Larsen of Brainerd, Minnesota added a piece representing the Hardanger fiddle, the national instrument of Norway.

Troyd Geist/North Dakota Council on the Arts: "It really helps highlight the traditional culture and traditional arts that we have in our state, in our region. We don't just do it as a hobby, it's part of who we are. It's part of our lives."

After the Street Fair, BLOCH will travel to other parts of the state.

You can see it August 3rd at the Hjemkomst Center.

Becky Parker
Becky Parker - Becky Parker joined the WDAY 6 News team in July of 2012. She was born and raised in Williston, North Dakota.  She graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science.   At NDSU, Becky served as News Director for ‘SU TV News, the university’s first ever student-run newscast. She was also an anchor and reporter for the organization.   Before coming to WDAY, Becky was reporting for Lakeland Public Television at their Brainerd, MN bureau.
