Bison track national semifinals

Oregon (WDAY TV) - Thursday night's the night that the NDSU track team has been working all season for as the women's 4 by 400 relay team will take to the stage in Oregon in the national semifinals.

Competing against some of the best in the country, which is nothing new for this team.

It's been a record setting year for the Bison, the relay team has broken the school record eight times since February and say they've been aiming for Oregon all season.

Paige Stratioti/ NDSU Jr. (Anchor Leg) : “We've kind of looked at it as our last meet, and I don't know if indoors helped a lot just making it to NCAAs being in that atmosphere, we're ready to roll.”

Ryun Godfrey/ NDSU Women’s Track Coach: “One of the things they have going for them West Regional is so strong, with Texas, California so they've seen some of the best some of the runners they've seen the best of the best, I want to get to the finals, I think they're poised and ready to do it.”

NDSU needs to be in the top 8 to advance, they run at 8:40, Deborah John and Antoinette Goodman will compete in individual events tonight as well.
