Bemidji, MN (WDAY TV) - Bemidji State didn't have to travel far to find its new women's hockey head coach.

The Beavers officially introduced BSU alum Jim Scanlan today as the new hockey coach for the women's program.

Scanlan has spent the past 15 years coaching boys’ and girls’ hockey in East Grand Forks, and most recently led the Greenwave girls’ team to a state runner-up finish this past winter, in route to being named the state coach of the year.
