Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - With recent animal births, there's a few new mothers at the Red River Zoo.
To celebrate, it's throwing a baby shower and it's letting human mom's come and see the New animals free of charge today.
One of the new additions, the Yet-To-Be-Named female North American Porcupine or "Porcupette" was delivered March 30th, quilt's already on.
Just days later, the Zoo welcomed a female Bactrian Camel, born April 2nd.
The Zoo is letting the public vote on their favorite name for the calf as part of the baby shower event running through May 31st.
Erick Lamun/ General Curator: "Have a say in what name we name our baby camel. We also have some gift registry type things on there. Some of them are bigger purchases for our veterinary department that would help care for all these young ones that we have being born."
For mothers and non-mothers alike there's another chance to catch the new additions free of charge.
Next Saturday from 3-7, everyone can visit the Zoo without paying admission.
