Arrest warrant issued for Moorhead man in hospital threat incident
FARGO – An arrest warrant has been issued for a Moorhead man accused of calling in a bomb threat against Sanford Hospital on Friday.
Charging documents filed in the case against Peter Jonathan Rovang, 53, of Moorhead, in Cass County District Court on Monday say that Rovang was upset over a fight he’d been in last Wednesday with some Sanford security officers.
The court documents say Rovang called the hospital and demanded the names of the security officers, and got angry when the operator refused to give him their names.
Rovang allegedly told the operator he’d “blow the place up” if he didn’t get what he wanted.
Then, when his call was transferred to a patient representative, Rovang allegedly threatened to blow up the hospital if he didn’t get their names by 8 the next morning.
Rovang allegedly later admitted to a Fargo police detective he’d made the threats because he was frustrated over the fight.
No court date has yet been set in the case.
