Amy Anderson to play in first career major beginning Thursday at British Open
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Amy Anderson will play in her first major as pro Thursday morning in England as the British Open tees off at Royal Birkdale.
Anderson has played overseas before at the Curtis Cup two years ago as an amateur; she likes links golf and knows she needs to go to another level to be in contention this week.
Amy Anderson/Playing in British Open this Week: “The biggest thing for me is the strength of field at every event; I mean they are the best players in the world so it shouldn't surprise me. When I played USGA event, I think I played about 7 of them, I never missed a cut and when I got out to the LPGA if you are off in any of your game your gonna miss the cut. So that's kind of been the biggest learning curve, you have to be on top of it every single week.”
