FARGO—A loss for our WDAY family we want to tell you about.

88-year old Arlyn Mogck has died.

He is the father of our own Dana Mogck.

You likely remember Arlyn from one of our recent "Honor Flight" stories.

He was with the veterans group that toured the war monuments and memorials in Washington DC.

He shared his memories of his service in Korea as part of a story Dana did there.

Arlyn would proudly wear that Honor Flight jacket and Korea War Vet cap nearly every day after.

Arlyn had a great sense of humor, memorable laugh, and he loved keeping up with his grandchildren's events, going to all their activities at schools, hockey rinks, and ballfields here in the metro.

He was also famous for traveling to Wishek and Ashley North Dakota, his home country, to bring home loads of precious sausage, and packages of tasty German kuchen for family and friends.

Hanson-Runsvold funeral home is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday night from 5 to 7 p.m, and prayer service at 7pm.

The Funeral will be held Saturday at 11am at First Congregational Church in South Fargo.
