FARGO — Due to construction on the second-floor apartments, Teaberry and Subway on Broadway have planned temporary closures this month.

Teaberry, 119 Broadway, will be closed Monday, March 5, through March 19, and Subway, 115 Broadway, will be closed March 19-29.

According to a press release from the Kilbourne Group, second-floor plumbing installation necessitates the closures because crews will need to do work in the first-floor ceiling space.

"It is not feasible to maintain food and beverage operations on the first floor while working with plumbing on second floor," the release stated.

In September, Kilbourne Group announced plans to spend $2.4 million to renovate portions of the two buildings. The renovations include 24 market-rate apartment units and five alley-facing storefronts in addition to three existing storefronts at 115 Broadway and 117-119 Broadway. The 24 apartments will replace 54 existing apartment units in the buildings.

Kilbourne bought the buildings from Lee Swanson as part of a deal brokered in January of 2016.
