Moorhead's historic cabin is moved to its new location
The log cabin, built in the late 1800's, moved from 4th Street and 4th Avenue south in Moorhead to Memorial Park, near Usher's Pub. The building needed repairs, and while some opposed it's move, the city decided it was best to move it to another location.
"That is one of the main reasons for moving it over to a new location, so it could be reprogrammed and reused. It wasn't safe at the old location. It will be at this foundation."
The location of the cabin in Memorial Park actually brings the building back to its roots. It served as a stagecoach station in Moorhead's early days.
